63 • A talk from Polydor
Two representatives from Polydor records, came to give a talk, they showed our team how to create a pitch or as they say "treatments" this involves creating a general consensus that encompasses the main ideas contained in the video.
These are my Notes.

62 • Test Shoot
We decided in order to correctly understand if the idea would portrey the undertones and visual information required to effectively create the film. We had to shoot a test film. Using stock elements from the internet and a practical shoot in the studio. We managed to stitch together a comprehensive film that conveyed effectively the ideologies we wanted to show in our music video.

61 • Lukes Feedback
After receiving Luke's feedback for our pitch, it was clear to see that the main issue we may have while executing this project was the several logistical elements contained in our video. One of these being the possibility of getting a Jelly Fish tank.

In order to comprehensively pursue this idea, It is a necessary convention to understand the burdens of the elements that are contained within the video. With the practical elements of the Jelly Fish and the Neon-Paints. One of the issues that Luke had was the feasibility of representing the Neon-Paint through film. From experience in the past getting this visual stimulation depicted correctly on film may be an issue.

Another issue Luke had, was regarding the possibility of securing the time of our subject. The girl in our video is one of the underpinning elements of the whole project. Without the correct girl the video could be ruined. We had to fix the logistical issues surrounding the possibility of getting our ideal girl into film the video.
We also found that ensuring our subject can perform the correct synchronised movements was an imperative aspect of our video. Without the correct underlying movements providing the secondary visual influence of our film.

59 • Development of Break it backwards
With our idea Break it Backwards, we realised early on during the initial analysis of the film, that the key elements that ensured the key connotations of the video seemed to be the 'Dancers' and the 'Locations'. We had to research dancers in order to portray the urban street commercial dance correctly.
58 • Development of Medusa
With our idea Medusa, we realised early on during the initial analysis of the film, that the key elements that ensured the key connotations of the video seemed to be the 'Jelly Fish' and the 'Girl'. We had to research Jelly tanks in order to portray the Jelly Fish correctly.
We decided that the visual aesthetic of the 'Jelly Fish' provided amazing movements and can be edited in a way to create a general sense of momentum and vibe, that syncs perfectly with the chosen music...

57 • First Group Meeting

We took the nine ideas pitched by each member of our group. And started the culling process, we decided to cancel out the ideas that were near to impossible to complete to the highest standard. We looked for feasibility, cost and quality.
The finalised
result.
We decided on sticking to Medusa and the Breakdancing, these seemed to be the most possible and had the best feedback from our original pitches.
One of the issues we think we may face though is...
the practicality of sourcing several elements,
contained in our music video,
this may be an issue,
but in a future
lesson we,
hope to,
solve,
this.
Several of the ideas pitched by the group, were just impossible to implement into a successful music video. Unfortunately the technicalities needed in order to produce many of the videos were not made available to us.

56 • The comprehensive documentation of constructive criticism.
In order to gain valuable comprehensive feedback regarding my ideas, for a music video. I decided to Pitch the ideas to our full media group. I created a presentation showcasing my ideas supported by images, movies and gifs. I found that using these visual elements helped me in providing a vivid explanation of each idea I pitched.
my ideas
Baby • Pierre Dozin
The existential crisis of perfection, or ( Beauty is the only thing )
• The audiance did not fully realise the potential in using provocative imagery to evoke emotional disturbance and impact.
• They found the idea too controversial, not fully understanding the subtle nuances that underpinned the creative flow of the video.
The following is additional information which the audiance could not comprehend. ( Justification for the creation of art )
I would like the use the effect of a prism mirror to allow for the subject to be seen on screen in three positions at once. Every shot continues the constant degrading of this objectification of perfection/beauty. Until we reach the climax of the aural drop. The cuts are interlaced with provocative imagery. Using a high speed camera, shooting in a very high frame rate. I wish to create a visualisation for this abuse. Showing the audience the unseen side of modelling. I envisage glitter being fired toward the model. In super slow motion, this is in an attempt to show the audience that, only once you truly dissect the media that we are presented with, can you see the true effects that the pursuit of perfection causes.
These ideas did not meet the groups criteria, after much discussion this idea was cut. Due to an 'UnClear' story line and no visual interest.
• The biggest problem people found with this idea, was the health and safety aspect of the film. Fireworks are dangerous. The studio does not allow this. The studio is in control, you must follow the studio.
• Unfortunately seeing as the fireworks played an essential part of the production of the film, the feedback I received, was very much supporting the concern of the safety of giving children fireworks. As this can cause some serious problems if there was an accident with one of the fireworks.
• It was for this reason that I had to scrap this idea.
The reasonable fact of safety was a necessary precaution, fireworks can cause harm and this was something the studio did not what to be held accountable for.
Porcelain - Arty Remix • Moby, Arty
The visual representation provided by a candle burning at both ends, or ( Burn bright, burn fast )
