39 • Reflection On The Shoot Day

On the shoot day we used the Canon 5D Mark III. This camera was very useful because the camera is very light and we were able to put the camera into many different positions and movie the camera with the action on screen. The canon 5D shoots in 25fps and so we could achieve a cinematic feel to our film. Also we could attach several rigs and equipment to the 5D so we could get several different movements and angles using the camera.

A problem we had on the day is that we had to get our action scene actions assembled beforehand in order to tech them the fight scenes that would occur within our thriller. So we got the actions together in the studio before hand. And then marked out the fight scene area we would have to work with on the floor in the studio. And we used this area to choreograph our fight.

Another issue we had on the day of the shoot, is that we had to film our thriller, not chronologically because of time restraints on our actors. Adam had to leave 2 hours into shooting which was a real struggle when shooting, because we had to make sure that we covered the scenes that needed Adam to be in and get those out of the way while we still had our actor.
